Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 29 May 2026
Challenger ("we", "our", "the app") is committed to providing a safe environment for all of our users. We have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE). This page describes the standards, prevention practices, and reporting mechanisms we maintain to comply with applicable laws and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
1. Standards Against CSAE and CSAM
The following content and conduct are strictly prohibited on Challenger:
- Any content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a minor.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form, including imagery, video, audio, text, or links.
- Grooming behaviour, sexual solicitation of minors, or attempts to facilitate offline contact with a minor for sexual purposes.
- Sexualised commentary, requests, or role-play involving minors.
- Sharing personal information of minors that could enable harm or exploitation.
- Content that normalises, glorifies, or trivialises child sexual abuse.
Accounts that violate these standards are permanently removed without warning, and content is reported to the appropriate authorities as described in Section 5.
2. Age Requirement
Users must be at least 13 years of age to create a Challenger account, or the minimum age required by their local jurisdiction, whichever is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware that a user is below the minimum age, the account is removed and associated data is deleted.
3. In-App Reporting
Challenger provides reporting tools directly inside the app. Any user can report a post, comment, message, or user profile that they believe violates our child safety standards. To submit a report:
- Tap the menu (⋯) on the post, comment, message, or profile.
- Select Report.
- Choose the relevant category (including "Child safety" / "Sexual content involving a minor").
- Optionally add detail and submit.
Reports are received by our moderation system immediately and prioritised for human review. Users may also block any other user from the same menu to prevent further contact.
4. Moderation and Response
- Triage — Reports flagged for child safety are escalated to the highest priority queue and reviewed as quickly as possible.
- Action — Confirmed violations result in immediate content removal and permanent account termination.
- Preservation — Evidence is preserved as required by applicable law for handover to authorities.
- Appeals — Users whose content is removed in error may contact us at the address below.
5. Legal Compliance and Authority Reporting
Where CSAM is identified, Challenger reports the content to the relevant authorities as required by law. For users in the United States, suspected CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline. For users in other regions, reports are submitted to the appropriate national or regional authority responsible for receiving such reports.
6. Contact
The point of contact below is responsible for child safety inquiries and is available to respond to law enforcement and Google Play regarding our CSAE prevention practices and compliance.
